Maine Ice Anglers Association Preamble and Purpose Whereas the ice anglers of the State of Maine have had limited organized ways of expressing their thoughts to the Commissioner, Legislature, and others, and are desirous of doing so. We have hereby organized a non-profit organization called MAINE ICE ANGLERS ASSOCIATION. The purpose of this association is to protect the sport of ice fishing and to work with the Maine Fish and Game Department for equality and fairness of fishing laws and regulations. To promote clean water on all lakes and ponds above self intrest. To encourage youth fishing. To encourage good sportsmanship and respect for other peoples property and to promote and adopt the "Carry on-carry off" policy.
